Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best well-known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows up until the year of 1957 when Li'l Abner became large in the National Theatre. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music called It's time for Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. It was an enormous success and Louise received her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her contract was signed with CBS in 1964, to portray Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful task of switching between Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark as well as contrasting characters from the glamour doll image she was perceived as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made her name as an accomplished director on various well-known television shows including Supernatural in addition to The 100. The family she was born into moved away from Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her both her teenage and adult years. She settled in Vancouver after she was selected to play Samantha Carter.
