Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, yet her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia was 2 years old when she was divorced from her parents. The family now is run by her mother and stepfather. He is an United States Air Force soldier. While the family left Oklahoma and resided in many areas, she was raised at Tokyo, Japan. When she was in Japan, she appeared as an actor in local theater performances and then became an Japanese models for fashion. After the family returned to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her ambition of becoming an actor. Her acting journey began with a small part. It was then that her acting career gained momentum when she was cast in the role of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV show Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she appeared as Rob Schneider's receptionist. She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" as well as "Formula D". The passion she has for surfing is something she's continued after the TV program Beyond the Break. She is also a black-belt in taekwondo. She was only two when her mother married again and this time, with a US Air Force member. Although the family moved numerous times, the vast majority of her existence was in Tokyo Japan in Japan, which is the area in which her father worked for the military. She studied journalism in the University of Oklahoma and also studied Japanese, dramatic arts and drama.
