Luciana Paoluzzi was born in Rome and was raised by both her parents. Luciana Paoluzzi had a father who is a retired Italian soldier, as well as a mother Maria Rota Paoluzzi. She was also a mistress with Benito Mussolini. Her siblings aren't known. Luciana went to the local high school, and after graduating in 1955 studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in the class.
